This absolutely gorgeous Mercedes Benz 280SE 3.5 convertible represents the ‘Top of the Bill’ spec available in the W111 series with its 3.5 V8. Only 1,232 versions of this car were ever made. This one has been sourced in California. Mid-way through the nineties the then enthusiast Californian owner commissioned the car to be fully restored by Arnold Zucchi’s Grand Touring Bodyshop. Because the car has had excellent care lavished upon it and the restoration itself was of the highest quality; today this 280SE 3.5 is still in excellent condition. The wonderful bodywork has straight and perfectly fitting body panels. The lavish chrome detailing is as good as new. It has had a major service recently. There are many invoices, detailing work carried out over the years. Forming a striking combination; the Mercedes has a black finish with a brown leather interior trim and matching hood. The quality of the interior trim with its fine wood finish is fantastic. This car has factory-fitted electric windows front and rear, automatic transmission, aircon, Becker radio, front and rear arm-rests and tinted windows. As you can see there is no lack of luxury touches! This Mercedes still has its original, matching numbers, V8 engine, with authenticated written documentation. It is quite unique to find such a superbly maintained 280SE 3.5!
