Der Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG Black Series

Große Kühlluftöffnungen in der Frontschürze und in der Motorhaube geben einen eindeutigen Hinweis auf die enorme Leistungsfähigkeit des AMG Zwölf-zylindermotors mit Biturbo-Aufladung. Aus 5980 Kubikzentimetern schöpft der AMG V12 eine Höchstleistung von 493 kW/670 PS bei 5400/min sowie ein elektronisch begrenztes Drehmoment von 1000 Newtonmetern zwischen 2200 und 4200/min. Ohne Limit würde der AMG 6,0-Liter-V12-Biturbomotor, der in der AMG Motoren Manufaktur von Hand nach der traditionellen Philosophie „One man – one engine“ gefertigt wird, ein maximales Drehmoment von 1200 Newtonmetern realisieren. Gegenüber dem Basis-Triebwerk des SL 65 AMG mit 450 kW/612 PS wurden beim Zwölfzylinder des SL 65 AMGBlack Series die Turbolader neu entwickelt. Der um zwölf Prozent vergrößerte Spiralquerschnitt der Lader sowie optimierte Wastegate-Kanäle ermöglichen einen höheren Luftdurchsatz und eine noch eindrucksvollere Kraftentfaltung in allen Drehzahlbereichen. Die geänderte Ansaugluftführung bewirkt ein noch spontaneres Ansprechverhalten. Neu konstruierte Endschalldämpfer der AMGSportabgasanlage reduzieren den Abgasgegendruck und helfen bei der Leistungssteigerung. Akustischer Neben-effekt: Aus zwei trapezförmigen Endrohren entweicht ein markanter Zwölfzylinder-Sound in AMG-typisch emotionaler Abstimmung. Die um 30 Prozent leistungsfähigeren Niedertemperatur-Ladeluftkühler ermöglichen nicht nur eine maximale Leistungsausbeute bei hoch dynamischen Fahrzuständen, sondern sorgen auch für eine größtmögliche Standfestigkeit bei hohen Außentemperaturen. Dem trägt auch die optimierte Wasserkühlung mit neu positioniertem Wasserkühler, leistungsfähigem Sauglüfter und großen Entlüftungsöffnungen in der Motorhaube Rechnung. Mitverantwortlich für die hohe Dynamik ist auch das attraktive Leistungs-gewicht von nur 2,79 kg/PS – es resultiert aus dem vergleichsweise geringen Leergewicht von 1870 Kilogramm nach EG-Norm. Damit ist der SL 65 AMG Black Series 250 Kilogramm leichter als der SL 65 AMG – eine respektable Gewichts-einsparung, die auf gezielte Leichtbaumaßnahmen zurückzuführen ist. Zahlreiche Karosserie-Komponenten bestehen aus hochfestem und besonders leichtem Kohlefaser-Verbundwerkstoff (CFK), einer im Motorsport bewährten Technologie. Sowohl die um 14 Zentimeter verbreiterten Frontkot-flügel, die Frontschürze mit dem Frontsplitter aus Sichtcarbon, die Motor-haube als auch der Heckdeckel sind aus CFK gefertigt. In einem völlig neuen Design präsentiert sich die komplette CFK-Dachhaut: Sie verfügt nicht nur über einen integrierten Überrollbügel – durch den Verzicht auf das SL-typische Variodach fällt die Dachlinie deutlich flacher aus. Dies wird auch beim Blick auf die größere Heckscheibe deutlich, die in einem flacheren Winkel zum Heckdeckel verläuft. Der darin integrierte CFK-Heckflügel fährt ab Tempo 120 automatisch um zwölf Zentimeter aus und erhöht den Abtrieb an der Hinterachse bei 200 km/h um 50 Kilogramm. Von hinten betrachtet fällt die neue Heckschürze mit Diffusor-Einsatz in Sichtcarbon auf: Darin integriert ist die aktive Kühlung des Hinterachs-Sperrdifferenzials. Neue, gewichtsoptimierte AMG Schmiederäder im Doppelspeichen-Design – vorne in 19 Zoll, hinten in 20 Zoll Größe – füllen die Radhäuser eindrucksvoll aus. Mit ihrer schwarzen Lackierung, der glanzgedrehten Oberfläche und dem matten Finish verleihen sie dem seitlichen Profil eine extravagante Note. Nappaleder, Alcantara und Carbon: Das Interieur des SL 65 AMG Black Series bietet das perfekte Ambiente, um die Herzen von Sportwagen-Enthusiasten höher schlagen zu lassen. Der komplett in Schwarz gehaltene Innenraum verströmt die funktionelle Atmosphäre eines echten Rennsportfahrzeugs und besticht gleichzeitig mit liebevoll gestalteten Details. Neu entwickelte AMG Sportschalensitze in CFK geben den Insassen perfekten Seitenhalt in schnell gefahrenen Kurven. Die Sitze ohne Sidebags sind mit feinem, schwarzem Nappaleder und Alcantara Anthrazit bezogen und tragen einen geprägten AMG-Schriftzug in den Kopfstützen. Im Durchmesser um 15 Millimeter verkleinert und mit perforiertem seitlichem Griffbereich ausgestattet, bietet das unten abgeflachte AMG Performance-Lenkrad optimale Fahrzeugbeherrschung. Silberfarbene Aluminium Schalt-paddles erlauben die manuelle Gangwahl.

Das hier angebotene Fahrzeug wurde am 10. Oktober 2008 als einer der ersten ausgelieferten SL65 Black Series in Berlin an einen asiatischen Sammler übergeben, welcher den Wagen bis zum Zeitpunkt des Verkaufs im Jahre 2021 nahezu ausschließlich und ungenutzt in seiner privaten Sammlung ausstellte. Und so zeigt die Laufleistung heute, über 12 Jahre nach Auslieferung lediglich 3.950 Kilometer an. Entsprechend präsentiert sich der Wagen auch vollumfänglich nahezu im Neuwagenzustand. The Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG Black Series

Large cooling air openings in the front apron and in the bonnet provide a clear indication of the enormous performance of the AMG twelve-cylinder engine with biturbo charging. From 5980 cubic centimeters, the AMG V12 generates a maximum output of 493 kW / 670 hp at 5400 rpm and electronically limited torque of 1000 Newton meters between 2200 and 4200 rpm. The AMG 6.0-liter V12 biturbo engine, which is manufactured by hand in the AMG engine factory according to the traditional “one man - one engine” philosophy, would achieve a maximum torque of 1200 Newton meters without limits. Compared to the basic engine of the SL 65 AMG with 450 kW / 612 PS, the turbocharger has been redeveloped in the twelve-cylinder of the SL 65 AMGBlack Series. The turbocharger's spiral cross-section, which has been enlarged by twelve percent, as well as optimized wastegate ducts enable a higher air throughput and even more impressive power delivery in all speed ranges. The modified intake air routing results in an even more spontaneous response. Newly designed rear silencers of the AMG sports exhaust system reduce the exhaust back pressure and help to increase performance. Acoustical side effect: A distinctive twelve-cylinder sound escapes from two trapezoidal tailpipes in an AMG-typical emotional setting. The 30 percent more powerful low-temperature charge air cooler not only enables maximum power output in highly dynamic driving conditions, but also ensures the greatest possible stability at high outside temperatures. The optimized water cooling with repositioned water cooler, powerful suction fan and large ventilation openings in the bonnet also take this into account. The attractive power-to-weight ratio of just 2.79 kg / hp is also partly responsible for the high dynamics - it results from the comparatively low curb weight of 1870 kg according to EC standards. This makes the SL 65 AMG Black Series 250 kilograms lighter than the SL 65 AMG - a respectable weight saving that can be attributed to targeted lightweight construction measures. Numerous body components are made of high-strength and particularly light carbon fiber composite material (CFRP), a technology that has proven itself in motorsport. Both the front fender, which has been widened by 14 centimeters, the front apron with the front splitter made of carbon fiber, the bonnet and the trunk lid are made of CFRP. The entire CFRP roof skin is presented in a completely new design: it not only has an integrated roll bar - by dispensing with the typical SL vario roof, the roof line is significantly flatter. This is also evident when looking at the larger rear window, which runs at a shallower angle to the trunk lid. The CFRP rear wing integrated in it extends automatically by twelve centimeters from a speed of 120 km / h and increases the downforce on the rear axle by 50 kilograms at 200 km / h. When viewed from the rear, the new rear apron with diffuser insert in visible carbon fiber is striking: the active cooling of the rear axle locking differential is integrated into it. New, weight-optimized AMG forged wheels in a double-spoke design - 19-inch at the front and 20-inch at the rear - fill the wheel arches impressively. With their black finish, the glossy surface and the matt finish, they give the side profile an extravagant touch. Nappa leather, Alcantara and carbon: the interior of the SL 65 AMG Black Series offers the perfect ambience to make the hearts of sports car enthusiasts beat faster. The completely black interior exudes the functional atmosphere of a real racing car and at the same time impresses with its lovingly designed details. Newly developed AMG sports bucket seats in CFRP give the occupants perfect lateral support in fast corners. The seats without sidebags are upholstered in fine, black nappa leather and Alcantara anthracite and have AMG lettering embossed on the headrests. Reduced in diameter by 15 millimeters and equipped with a perforated side grip area, the AMG performance steering wheel, flattened at the bottom, offers optimum vehicle control. Silver-colored aluminum shift paddles allow manual gear selection.

The vehicle offered here was handed over to an Asian collector on October 10, 2008 as one of the first SL65 Black Series delivered in Berlin, who exhibited the vehicle almost exclusively and unused in his private collection until the time of sale in 2021. And so the mileage shows today, over 12 years after delivery, only 3,950 kilometers. Accordingly, the car is almost completely new.
