A rear-wheel drive manual BMW is fun! Rare and loved with the iconic S52 six-cylinder engine and enough space in the back for the suitcases for a nice weekend away.

The BMW M Coupé is the high-performance model of the BMW Z3 that was produced from 1998 to 2002, at the BMW Spartanburg plant. The rear-wheel drive car has a petrol engine and delivers a maximum power of 240 horsepower at 6.000 RPM and a maximum torque of 320 Nm at 3.800 RPM. The 6-in-line drive ensures that the BMW Z3M can be driven effortlessly in Germany at modern Autobahn speeds.

It is 1996 when BMW brings the Z3 on the market, a roadster that two years later would be joined by the Z3 Coupé. That same year, BMW unleashed the M Coupé, a mighty variant of the car whose shape earned it the nickname 'clown's shoe'. This copy is from 1999 and had its origin in America, after which it came to the Netherlands in 2004.

This is an original American example, the bumpers and upgraded S52 engine compared to the M52 engine are characteristic. The BMW is on original 17-inch M rims with tires in the correct size. The engine runs well and delivers a very appealing performance, the original BMW M exhaust system translates this performance into a beautifully pure exhaust sound. The gearbox has fine gear ratios and shifts well.

Striking is the beautiful red BMW Imolarot 2 paint, especially in combination with the interior, which is equipped with black leather and dark grey M-rims.

The paint is in very good condition, the sheet metal is nice and thin everywhere and the fits are correct. Items such as the decorative mouldings and lamps present are also in good condition.

The interior is upholstered in black carpets and the seats are in black leather. The interior is in good used condition and again you can clearly see that the previous owner took very good care of the car. The dashboard still looks beautiful and excels in German precision. The instruments and controls all look good and function as they should.

In summary, we can only conclude that this is a very original and correct example, with an incredible appearance and wonderful driving characteristics.

The BMW is equipped with all original documentation such as a (maintenance) booklet, invoices, reports and registration documents. Even the Certified Pre-Owned BMW Owner's Card is still present.
