Officially included in the Italian Great Events Championship and open to cars built between 1919 and 1976, the Coppa delle Alpi is a new winter regularity race from the organisers of the legendary Mille Miglia retrospective in Italy, set to take place on 4–7 December 2019. With their wealth of experience staging such events, in addition to a four-leg 1,200km route encompassing 60 time-trials and 15 spectacular Alpine passes across Italy, Switzerland, Austria, and Germany, the Coppa delle Alpi has all the makings of an unmissable few days of driving. While specific details about the route are yet to be revealed, we know that the rally will begin in Brescia, snake up through Italy towards Bressanone, cross into Austria to Seefeld in Tirol, wind back around towards St. Moritz in Switzerland, and finish in Ponte di Legno, Italy. Registration is open now – if you have a car you think would be suitable and fancy taking in the inaugural Coppa delle Alpi, visit the event’s official website.
