We have a Dutch supplied 1980 Alfa Romeo 2000 Spider Veloce. This car has already once been subjected to a full nut & bolt restoration and mechanical rebuild which was carried in the Netherlands. After this it ended up in France before returning to the Netherlands.

This Spider is still in good condition. During the restoration the car was resprayed in her original metallic silver-grey finish. 41 years on and this Alfa Romeo Spider is still a wonderful sight. The silver-grey paintwork and bodywork show a few blemishes but the overall condition is good. The bodywork has nice and thin, correctly aligned panelwork. The car also has recently been given a new, neatly fitting, hood.

Inside has been reupholstered in light grey carpets and black leather on the seating. Although not pristine the interior looks very neat. The gauges and controls are also in fine shape and good working order. Both the gear knob and steering wheel are a lovely wooden affair.

Mechanically the car was fully rebuilt and has remained in good health. The 2.0 litre engine runs smoothly. The 2000 cc Twin Cam is fed by two twin Weber carburettors that bring forth that gorgeous Alfa Romeo sound. The 5-speed transmission works accurately with gear ratios wholly suited to the engine character and certainly contribute to the pleasure when driving this Alfa Romeo. Other essentials such as brakes, tyres and suspension are also all perfectly in order.
