Description
- Registered in Florence in 1962, with original number plates, logbook and owner’s manual.
- Pastel grey colour with tartan cloth interior. The paintwork has a fascinating patina and a few traces of localized surface oxidation. Very sound bodywork and undercarriage in excellent condition. The interior is original, intact and well preserved.
- Complete and original mechanics in working order. It needs a general check and tune-up to be fully enjoyed. Non-valid MOT.
- The 700 was the first BMW with a monocoque body, the model that contributed most to saving the brand from bankruptcy. Created by the engineer Giovanni Michelotti, it was an immediate commercial success. The coupé version was especially popular with the public and, thanks to its technical characteristics, lent itself to subsequent racing uses. This version is an excellent candidate for a conservative restoration, or to be modified and prepared for historic racing.
- The car must be collected from Turin.
