Relive the Goodwood Revival 2021 in 101 breathtaking images

Last weekend saw the triumphant return of Goodwood Revival, the most exciting automotive event in the calendar for many, and this year certainly didn’t disappoint.

After missing out on attending last year’s Revival for obvious reasons, we were over the moon to be back at Goodwood Motor Circuit last weekend, soaking up the sights, sounds, and of course, the smell of race fuel! One of our highlights was seeing the return of British Racing Motors, who celebrate the 70th anniversary of their first Grand Prix appearance with not one, but two brand new BRM V16s which looked as though they had been plucked straight from the 1950s. While seeing the two V16s side by side in pristine condition was certainly special, it paled in comparison to the aural overload of hearing all 32 cylinders screaming by at full chat up the start/finish straight. However, BRM wasn’t the only automotive legend to make a comeback this weekend, as the largest assembly ever of Sir Sterling Moss’ competition cars paraded around circuit, including the jaw-dropping Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR, in which he won the 1955 Mille Miglia at an average speed of 98 mph.

Let’s not forget the racing; there was certainly plenty of it to enjoy. Our personal highlights include the John Whitmore Trophy, which saw an angry swarm of 30 Mini’s attack the tarmac — read more about it here — and the Royal Automobile Club TT Celebration, which featured driving legends such as F1 world champ, Jenson Button, and Le Mans vet, André Lotterer, duking it out in one of the most enjoyable races of the weekend. However, it was GT driver Oliver Bryant who took home 1st, driving off with an emphatic burnout in his Cobra to celebrate.

While the automotive action was undeniably memorable, the amazing turnout was what made the weekend truly special. Everyone, including celebs such as Jason Momoa, joined the fun of dressing in period attire, making it feel like a trip back in time. After so many hours of petrol induced endorphins, we wish we could start the weekend all over again, but at least we have the Member’s Meeting to look forward to in a couple weeks!
