Description

HISTORY
Presented at the Turin Motor Show in the autumn of 1963, it was the first Quattroporte from the ‘Trident’ manufacturer that marked an epoch-making turning point, with unique traits that made it a success destined to last for decades. The Maserati Quattroporte’s elegant lines, large size, luxurious finish, state-of-the-art technical solutions and extraordinary performance immediately became an object of desire for the highest social class of the time.
The V8 4,135cc engine offered 260 HP and allowed the car to reach 240 km/h without sacrificing driving comfort, declaring it ‘the fastest production saloon in the world’.

Designed by Pietro Frua, it was built in Turin by Vignale.

Given the time required and high cost, production of the Quattroporte first series stopped at 776 units, making it a very rare and sought-after car to this day.
