The Ferrari 330GT is a beautiful and above all powerful design. The car was designed by Tom Tjaarda, who was employed by design studio Pininfarina at the time. The 330 GT was the successor to the extremely successful 250 GTE series. This is a so-called “interim” car. That is to say that the car has the nose of the Series 1 and the five-speed manual transmission of the Series 2. In addition, the car also has the hanging pedals of the Series 2. It is for many "Peak" Ferrari 330 GT. This example is a matching numbers car and was delivered new to the Belgian Ferrari dealer Garage Francorchamps and was later exported to the United States. The car has been fully restored in the past. The car is still in excellent condition and comes in a beautiful color combination consisting of a “Blu Azzuro” exterior and a “Tan” leather interior.
The body has been fully restored in the recent past and is therefore still in very good condition. The fits are nice and the sheet metal is nice and thin. The paint was completely repainted at the time and still looks beautifully cared for. The car stands on the original Borrani wheels fitted with good Pirelli P4000 tires in the correct sizes. The Ansa exhaust system is the icing on the proverbial Ferrari 330GT cake.
The interior was completely reupholstered during the restoration of the body. This work was carried out very well and with great eye for originality. The quality of the materials used is of a very high level. The interior of the 330 looks just as beautiful as the exterior. The beige leather forms a beautiful contrast against the blue paint. The instruments and controls all function as they should and are neatly cared for. The carpets fit perfectly everywhere and are also of very high quality.
The technology has been very well maintained over the years. The engine and transmission have both been completely overhauled. The engine compartment therefore looks like it can be pulled through a ring. The matching numbers engine here is the 4.0 liter Tipo 209 V12 that delivers 300 hp. As described above, the engine in this case is coupled to a five-speed manual transmission. The transmission shifts wonderfully precisely and although this Ferrari does not yet have the open shift grid, that wonderful Ferrari click is present. The undercarriage and brakes are very well cared for and are in very good condition. The brakes are easy to dose and provide good deceleration. The chassis is set for comfort and gives the car a wonderfully relaxed driving behaviour.
The car comes with some maintenance invoices and general information about the car. In short, a beautiful Ferrari 330 GT Interim in a fantastic color combination and wonderful condition.
