Chassis 85720 Porsche 356A Convertible D by Drauz was delivered new via the Hoffman Motor Car Company’s dealership, New York City, on the 26th of November 1958. The car was ordered in the beautiful colour combination of Ruby Red with a light brown interior and convertible top, and was fitted new with US spec front bumpers, mesh covered headlights and white steering wheel, which remains with the car, however the owner has fitted a more modern steering wheel to keep the original in the best condition possible. Like so many 356s a former owner replaced the original engine with a new 1600 356B engine, but most importantly the original and untouched super 90 engine block has remained with the car all these years and is included with the sale of the car.

The car was acquired by its current European owner from a well-known Porsche dealer in central Europe. Since joining its current collection the car has been well maintained with no bad reports or issues and has been enjoyed by its loving owner. The car remains in its original colour combination, which is quite rare these days, and we are happy to report the car is in outstanding condition throughout, the paintwork is bright with no cracks, the interior is all correct and in very good condition and mechanically it is spot on, the car was given the once over by the owners private mechanics just prior to sale and we welcome any inspection from any International buyer

Presented beautifully, the car is complete with its original 1600 super engine block, service records and its Porsche Certificate of authenticity.
