The Ford Model A can justifiably be called one of the most famous American automobiles of all time. Introduced in 1928 as the successor to the famous "Tin Lizzie," it was a much more modern automobile, new in almost every way, and considerably more stylish, with design that aped the large and prestigious Lincoln. Numerous body styles and color schemes were offered buyers, including both Standard and Deluxe Roadsters – the latter unbeatable for jaunty sportiness. Production of the Model A continued through 1931, and many consider those produced in the final year to be the most attractive of all.

The Taylor DeLuxe Roadster was beautifully restored and in 2005 was an Antique Automobile Club of America National First Prize winner; it also won Model A Restorers Club MARC of Excellence honors. Finished in Cordoba Tan and black with straw pinstripe and wheels and brown leather interior, the car presents beautifully throughout. Accessories include blackwall tires, dual sidemounted spares, a vacuum-operated wiper, wind wings, side-view mirror, rumble seat, Spartan horn, and luggage rack. The engine bay is restored to original specifications and clean and tidy, with nice detailing throughout. At the time of cataloging, the car had recorded just 378 miles. It is accompanied by an original Model A instruction book, copyright 1929.

This is an especially well-done Model A, with awards proving its quality of finish and authenticity, from organizations that know these Fords best and have judged hundreds over passing decades. It would be an ideal complement to not only a Ford collection, but any collection – since every enthusiast should experience a Model A, one of the cars that truly helped keep America on wheels through the Great Depression.
